Dear Friend,
Thank you for your interest in Hearing Loss Association of Snohomish County. Perhaps you are HOH (Hard of Hearing) or know of someone who is HOH. In either case, you may be aware of the concerns with hearing loss and would like to get more information on addressing those concerns, or to better prepare you to be successful. Please join us and learn more about helpful equipment and various topics we have each month.
Our chapter group, Hearing Loss Association of Snohomish County, meets every third Saturday, September through June, in the Providence General Hospital at 916 Pacific Ave in Everett, Providence Room A & B from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
We belong to our Hearing Loss Association of Snohomish County chapter for the support and friendship of other members as hearing loss can be difficult and stressful. It can be a challenge to travel this road alone. We feel it is our job to be a voice in our area for our members on issues that affect the quality of our life and for those agendas that better prepare the hearing impaired to be successful.
For those reasons, once a month we join together to share our thoughts, problems, solutions and dreams. And there are workshops, seminars and of course our fabulous silent auction that you won’t want to miss out on!
As a member of our chapter, not only will you personally benefit, you will also have the opportunity to help others. This group is involved in making our community more open to the needs of HOH by working with local businesses, hospitals and elected officials. We truly need the talents of people like you to expand these programs. Even if you don’t have much time or energy to give right now, you can still make a difference simply by supporting these efforts as a group member.
Take a few minutes to look over your Welcome Packet as we have enclosed various reading materials that we would like to share with you.
Please feel free to take a look at our website, www.snocohearingloss.org, to see what our group or other chapters/affiliated groups are about. As you navigate around the site, you'll find plenty of helpful information. We always welcome your comment and input on what you would like to see. Our hope is that our website can help you make important decisions about hearing loss and that they connect you to the kind of people who can enhance quality of life.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call or write to me. I look forward to "hearing" from you. You too can make a difference!
